Problem

Needed a solution to speed up a WordPress website running Elementor and Woocommerce. The site was using WP-rocket, but the Pagespeed score needing improving.

Solution

1. Disable WP Rocket
2. Disable any “Lazy Load Images options”. elementor has a setting for this.
3. If using Elementor pagebuilder, make sure “Optimized DOM Output, Improved Asset Loading and Improved CSS loading” are all active (Elementor >> Settings)
4. Preload Google fonts. If using Elementor pagebuilder, add fonts to Elementor >> Custom Fonts
5. If using Elementor, disable “Page Transitions”.
6. Add Phastpress plugin – see image for options.
7. Add WP Meteor plugin – Set to Delay until first interation. This setting can be adjusted to suit, although most work best on this setting. disable ELementor animations and Powerpack option (untick)
